CRAZY WEEKEND

Sunday, March 20th, 2005

Ahh man, it was a totally good weekend, good times and good stuff.  A great way to unwind.  Where to start…..

It all started with St. PAtty’s day.  Went out after our exec meeting to Freehouse, had some green beers.  It was lovely.  After that we headed over to Mitch’s where we played some ping pong and backyard boxing.  Boy was that every a fun sport.  Sorry Pedro for nailing you in the face, i really thought u were going to block that.

The following day, we went to Below the Equator.  Brazil was the theme and they showcased lots of dances and items from the culture.  It was good times, got to do lots of latin dancing, and got really drunk.  Mani and I bought a 6 pack and pounded em back in his car before entering.  Weapon of choice was Minhas Creek, and the timer was set to 15 minutes.  The social was really fun, mani got a number and I go to slow dance with a spanish girl (YES!!!).

Saturday Mitch picked me up to go to Becky’s place to pregame for Coyotes.  Started drinking the Minhas Creek once again at 6:30pm and didn’t stop drinking till 1:00am.  Man that bar was so much fun.  I was probably the best dancer there… seriosuly!!!  But the social work girl’s were awesome, they are a fun bunch.

Highlights of the weekend:

-Pounding back the Minhas Creek in the Camaro

-spanish lady

-backyard boxing

-grind off at coyotes

-sleeping on a waffle like matress

-bare knuckle boxing at Becky’s (i have bruises)

-saying the Anchorman line at perkins to the hostess

WPM

Tuesday, March 15th, 2005

Wow!! What an amazing weekend it has been.  I felt like I was running out of the AIESEC juice just before leaving for WPM, but now it is fully re-energized and ready for more action.  I got to know 8 outstanding individuals who will be representing AIESEC Canada during the year  ahead.

I feel that I have gotten to know all of you better through this weekend and we were really able to come together and grow as a team.  I love this whole support networ we have as a western region, we are the best, we are the west!  And this is what we live by:

"We the trail-blazing leaders of the West challenge ourselves to achieve Big Bucket Doublage!!!"

This vision of the western region, is not just a statement, it will be a way of life.  As REgional Fun Manager I will make sure we are energized at all times and delegate the fun to those who are in need.

I promised that I would try and not be sappy about my blogs but I cannot really help it.  To all my western region reps, we will truly achieve Big Bucket Doublage.  It has been a privilege getting to know all of you and thank you for the memories.  This has been the best weekend of my AIESEC career so far, and I look forward to our reunion at NLDC.  I will try and hold back my tears, but there are no promises.

PS:  Frank the tank misses you all also!

CRAZY MONTH

Monday, March 7th, 2005

OHHH man,

This has been one crazy month so far for me.  Lotsa stuff has been happeneing both in and out of AIESEC.  It seems like i am getting gang banged by all the elements in my life at the same time.  Even tho it has been one hectic MArch, it has all been worth it.

Seeing all the things that we have achieved in AIESEC over the past 2 weeks has been amazing.  I have been accomplishing things I never thought I would do while in university.

On a lighter note, last weekend sure was fun.  Went to Empire with Spencer and Snake for joann’s sister’s going away party.  Man the empire sure was fun that night.  I love drinking Yager Bombs.  Those have to be the best drink ever.  Man i was so hyper, I just wanted to start a mosh pit on the dance floor.  MY heart was beating like mad, and i had so much energy.  Luckily I was able to salsa it off, man I am pretty decent now, i see that my lessons are paying off.

After Empire we crashed the girls sleepover.  It was pretty funny, i smelled like liquor and got some ice cream and gummi bears.  I was so burnt out when we arrived and so were the girls, it was a nice relaxing way to end the evening.

Guitar lessons are going pretty well.  My teacher has been teaching me outa a book based on Metallica, so thats pretty cool.  Got some new tabs from Rog the other day from the anime Beck.  So i’ve been playing "Moon over water" and "FAce".  Gotta be the best anime ever!

Good songs you should DL:

Blog Back UP!!!

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2005

Well Sports Fans,

I am sure many of you have anticipated the return of "CaptainAmazings" blog journals.  It has been down for quite some time now.  But it looks like it may be here to stay, although i wish i still had my old domain name.

Anyways things to update:

It has been crazy around the university campus.  March 1 marked my first day as President.  So much has happened and still is happening and I am so excited to see the results.  And soo the "rollercoaster" known as "LCP term" begins.  I will try and put a more detailed post up later this week, but for now I have much school and aiesec work to accomplish.
